William Tatton | William TattonTATTON, WILLIAM (1805-86) was born in London, served in the Navy before the end of the Napoleonic wars, and after the peace engaged in the timber trade for 30 years before sailing for New Zealand in the Eden (1850). He settled first at Omata, but shortly removed to a more favourable position at Frankley Road. He was member of the Provincial Council for Grey and Bell (1861-64 and 1867-79).
