William Henry Wynn Williams | William Henry Wynn WilliamsWILLIAMS, WILLIAM HENRY WYNN (1828-1913) was a son of the Rev. P. L. Williams, vicar of Llansannan, Denbighshire. Educated for the Indian army, and subsequently for the law, he was admitted a solicitor in 1853. In 1857 he came to New Zealand, and after working on sheep stations in different parts of the colony settled in Christchurch in 1860 to practise his profession. Williams represented Heathcote in the Provincial Council (1865-66), City of Christchurch (1866-70) and Papanui (1871-75). He was several times in the executive (under Jollie, 1868-69, 1869-70; under Knight, 1869, and under Wilson, 1875-76). He also represented Heathcote in Parliament (1881-84). He died on 27 Oct 1913.
