HARPER, WALTER (1848-1930), a son of Bishop Harper, was educated at Christ's College, and at Trinity College, Oxford. He was ordained in 1873 and was successively vicar of Ellesmere (1876) and of St Michael's, Christchurch (1882); principal of the upper department of Christ's College (1893-1906); dean of Christchurch (1901) and a governor of Canterbury College. He died on 6 Jan 1930.
