Edward Spencer Curling

CURLING, EDWARD SPENCER (1815-68) was one of the earliest settlers in Hawke's Bay and was an original member of the Settlers' Association (1856) and of the A. and P. Association (1858). In 1859 he was elected to the Provincial Council for Te Aute, and he sat for that district to 1862 and for Waimarama (1863-66). He was a lieutenant of the Napier militia (1863). Curling died on 3 Jan 1868.
